What is WisdomWorks?
WisdomWorks faciliatates impactful work placements in businesses and organisations across the UK. We offer two distinct programmes:
+ Debut which places students, graduates and early career individuals.
+ Encore which provides placements for individuals transistioning to retirement.
WisdomWorks Debut
Debut supports students, graduates and early career individuals with impactful work placements that launch their professional journey whilst providing the essential soft skills not taught in universities.
WisdomWorks Encore
Encore matches experienced, retired professionals with flexible placements that bring purpose, perspective and seasoned expertise to organisations and businesses.
How does it work?
WisdomWorks matches individuals from our Debut and Encore programmes to suitable work placements across the UK.
These placements are from respected companies and non profit entities who can access 30 hours of placement time to deliver a meaningful project in their organisation. All placements are project based – meaning that they have to a meaningful impact, rather than just be a time filling exercise, and the focus is on upskilling the organisation so that the impact can last after the placement has ended.
WisdomWork then provides the support, training and mentoring that ensures that the placement is a ‘wow’ experience for both individuals and organisations.
WisdomWorks Academy
Our WisdomWorks Academy supports our placement individuals and organisations to ensure that every placement is a ‘wow’ – for all stakeholders.
The Academy is delivered in numerous different ways, from online ‘how to’ videos, to one to one mentoring, impressive guest speakers and group training sessions.
And with your Placement Mentor always at the end of the phone you’ll always feel well supported, informed and educated.
Projects Suitable For Placements
We’ve found that well defined projects are essential for a placement to be a success and WisdomWorks will support organisations to do that.
Successfully projects we’ve supported have varied considering including increasing the marketing reach of a charity, launching a new revenue stream for an amateur rugby club and streamlining a recruitment process for a business.
